Regular wood cutting boards have been underestimated for quite a long time. It’s not too late to follow up on one of the most popular trends throughout the last couple of years, food presentation on your engraved boards!

Follow the New Trend

Even if you don’t mind being called old-fashioned, you must admit that new trends are often exciting. If something grows popular and becomes a trend, it must have certain qualities that need to be acknowledged.

Wooden boards are a perfect solution for parties. Rustic wood will add an extra quality to a party’s decor and make the visitors feel relaxed, laid-back and more at home. Personalized cutting boards as serving platters are trendy, versatile and make the food look marvelous.

Serving Food on Personalized Wooden Cutting Boards

You have to admit that having your food served on a wooden cutting board makes an impression.

Personalization is the key. You can serve food on a regular cutting board and impress everyone, but if you had a set of engraved cutting boards with a special message for the guests that are attending your party would make a statement. If you're celebrating a special occasion, you can have boards designed and be truly unique.

Using Cutting Boards as Food Platters

You can serve a lot of different food types on a wooden board and make it look elegant. There are many different ways to do so, and not everyone is successful in achieving the restaurant-like rustic decor.

When it comes to soups and pasta, consider serving your bowls on a wood serving tray to achieve the same effect. Avoid using the same board you cut raw meat on to eliminate the risk of cross-contamination.

Here are some suggestions of what you could offer on a wooden board.

Of course, our first choice is always serving different types of meat. Wood is a good insulator, so it will keep the food warm and it’s also perfectly hygienic. The best dishes to serve include burgers, steak, chicken and fish.

Fruit and Vegetables

Fruit and vegetables look best on wood serving boards. Grapes, strawberries, apple slices, dried fruits, pineapple wedges, sliced cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and more! This could be served as a snack or starter to any meal.

Bread is a great choice to serve on a wood cutting board. Baguette boards are the perfect holder for a loaf of bread.

A charcuterie board is usually made up of meat and cheese and can contain fruit or nuts. You would want to opt for a great variety of meat and cheese to make the board as vibrant and colourful as possible. Creating a charcuterie board definitely takes skill, but when you’re done setting up, you are guaranteed to have lots of hassle-free party snacks to eat.

There are numerous other ways to serve appetizers, main dishes, desserts and all different types of food on an engraved wood cutting board. You just have to be creative and wake up the chef inside you. Bon appétit!
