If you find yourself struggling to find space to operate and prepare a simple meal, it may be the right time to declutter your kitchen. Luckily, you don’t have to be a famous chef to know your way around a kitchen. With this article, we will show you more about various organizational hacks for turning your messy kitchen into a perfectly organized space.

1. Remove any Unnecessary and Duplicate Items

Although there are many things you can do to ensure you have enough space, the process of decluttering your kitchen starts with removing the things that are unneeded. Whether it’s appliances, gadgets, food or just clutter, there’s absolutely no need for keeping two versions of the same product in your kitchen. Selling the multiples will not only provide you with desired space in your kitchen, but it will also enable you to buy other required kitchen items.

2. Organize your Cupboards

When it comes to kitchen cabinets, organization and angling is the key. You can achieve both of these by adding an extra shelf or dividing the items into categories. Furthermore, you can stash and declutter your products, food, and utensils by using containers and organizers. This way, you’ll both have the convenience of extra space and still be able to easily access anything you might need.

3. Shop for Reasonably Sized Items

While you can’t get rid of some of the basic utensils and kitchen items, you can make sure the ones you buy next are moderately sized. When we say moderate, we mean they fit your newly created or recently organized counter or cupboards. For instance, if you seek an engraved cutting board, make sure you choose one that fits in your cupboard for storing, unless you plan on leaving it on your counter for display. That’s how you avoid having to re-organize your shelves and cupboards so often.

4. Pots, Pans and Utensils

Since most of the utensils are irregularly shaped, they tend to take up a lot of space. Luckily, there are several ways to solve this problem. One option could be designing or buying a special container for all of your utensils to rest in. Another option could be hanging them from the wall or underneath your cupboards. Furthermore, you can apply the same method for pots and pans as well and hang them from the ceiling or on the wall. Don’t forget that you can always add an extra shelf specially designed for your utensils or pots and pans.

5. Use the Kitchen Sink Storage

Instead of cluttering your shelves and cupboards with cleaning products and items, make sure you use the space under the sink. Although many of you have already applied this hack, you can take it to the next level by installing sink cabinet trails and easily organize all of your cleaning products. These roll-out trays can be your DIY project for this Spring since it won't take more than a day to install them. Similar to the cupboards, you can use containers and organizers to keep everything tidy.
